The wireless range of up to 100 ft in open areas is achieved through a strong 433.92MHz RF signal that can work through walls and doors, without requiring a line of sight between the wireless switch and outlet receiver. The wireless range may be slightly less in actual use due to electronic devices, walls, or other physical barriers, especially metal objects.
