Yes, this is a 12V AC LED pool light that requires a low voltage transformer. You must connect it to a waterproof transformer (included in the package) before use. The correct connection is: 110V-120V AC to GFCI to transformer to 50 Ft cord through the conduit to niche and pool light.
You will need a 10-inch embedded niche in your pool wall before installation. This pool light is compatible with most Pentair large wet niches with a 10-inch diameter, such as Pentair 620004, 79206700, 78210200, 78210300, 78210400, 78210500, 78210600, 78210700, 78232400, and 78232500.
If your pool is a saltwater pool or located in a coastal area with exposure to salt, it is recommended to opt for a 316 stainless steel model due to its higher corrosion resistance in chloride-rich environments. This model is made of 304 stainless steel.
The pool light uses a high light transmission PC lamp shade and high brightness SMD5050 lamp beads, which are more energy-efficient and consume only 10% of the electricity of incandescent lamps of similar brightness.
